How it works

What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default).

Why can’t I create WebP files?

A few older browsers (mainly older Safari) cannot encode WebP. If that happens you will see a clear message; try another browser.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. neverupload has no server that receives files. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device, and the files never leave it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool keeps working.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the app is cached by your browser, so you can use it without a connection. You can also install it as an app from your browser menu.
