What quality should I pick?

Around 70–80% usually looks the same as the original at a fraction of the size. Watch the live preview to find the right balance.

Why does my PNG barely shrink?

PNG is a lossless format, so a quality setting has little effect. Choose WebP or JPG as the output format for big savings.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. neverupload has no server that receives files. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device, and the files never leave it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool keeps working.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the app is cached by your browser, so you can use it without a connection. You can also install it as an app from your browser menu.
